8 sessions of 2 hours per week
Ideal for pregnant people and their companions from week 18 of pregnancy.

Stages and changes in pregnancy
We will explain the development of pregnancy throughout its three trimesters, the most important changes of each stage, the role of hormones and the formation of the placenta, highlighting its essential function as the main support and vital link between the mother and the baby.

Stages of Labor
You will learn about the stages and phases of labor, the different types of birth —natural without interventions, natural with interventions and cesarean section— as well as the options for place of birth, whether in a hospital, at home or in water, to promote informed and conscious decisions.

Roles and responsibilities during labor and birth
We will address the roles and responsibilities of those who accompany the birth process —the mother, the companion, the health personnel (obstetrician or midwife), the neonatologist and the doula— clarifying how and to what extent each one acts to promote a respectful and positive birth experience for the family.

Comfort techniques for pain
We will present natural techniques for pain management during labor, such as conscious breathing, hydrotherapy and the use of rebozo, balls and slings, as well as changing positions, highlighting the importance of free movement and the advantages of vertical positions to promote a more comfortable and physiological birth.

Postpartum
We will discuss the hormonal changes of the postpartum period and the care needed for the mother's recovery, highlighting the importance of rest, nutrition and support, both at home and during the hospital stay, to promote physical and emotional well-being.

Breastfeeding
We will explain the benefits of breastfeeding for both baby and mother, the characteristics of human milk, and the physiology of lactation, incorporating techniques and positions for proper breastfeeding, and highlighting its fundamental role in nutrition, health, and strengthening the mother-baby bond.
Newborn Care
We will discuss basic newborn care, such as skin-to-skin contact, hygiene, sleep, and feeding, incorporating the principles of early stimulation based on bonding, respect, and sensitive response, to promote comprehensive development and a healthy start to life.
Stages and changes in pregnancy
We will review the birth and postpartum plan, address the rights of the pregnant person and the prevention of obstetric violence, and close the course by strengthening confidence, informed decision-making and the support network for birth and the beginning of motherhood
